Angela Forsyth
Angela Forsyth
Angela is married with two adult children, both educated locally and now tax paying graduates. She has lived in Buckinghamshire for almost 30 years and spent six of those years teaching at Dr Challoner’s GS before setting up an educational recruitment consultancy, located in central London. Leisure activities include tennis, playing the cello and the challenges of managing a rambling garden; the daily commute provides great opportunities to enjoy a large numbers of books! David Rooke
David Rooke
David became a Parent Governor in Autumn 2008 and sits on the Finance and Pay and Personnel Committee. He is married to Jenny and has two children, including Will who has been at Heritage House School since September 2007. David has worked in the City for many years but now runs his own education business. Prior to being a Governor he was a Trustee of The Puzzle Centre for 4 years. Puzzle, which is based in Buckingham, is a centre working with pre-school children with autism and other significant communication difficulties.

 

Anne Coney
Anne Coney
Anne Coney is Chair of Governors and has lived in Chesham for over 41 years. She is married with two daughters and has two grand daughters and two grandsons. She has taught riding through Riding for Disabled to Heritage House School students for over 38 years at her home in Bellingdon and has also helped in the hydrotherapy pool at the school. She is a National Trustee and a Regional Chairman for RDA. She has been a magistrate since 1990 and became a Governor of the school in 2005. Linked with Chess Class. Barry Bennett
Barry Bennett
Barry Bennett is a Parent Governor to 13/09/04 & since re-elected as a community Governor. Committees: Finance and Pay and Personnel. Linked with Lea Class. Barry Bennett is the father of Sally who attended the school from 1991 until 2005. Barry is a Chartered Accountant, but now runs his own property company and he is a former Treasurer and Chairman of CESA. He enjoys sailing, rugby, golf and horse racing in his spare time.

Julie Golding Clarke
Julie Golding Clarke
Julie has worked at Heritage House School for many years. She has worked in a range of classes in the Senior half of the school and has been a Team Leader in the Sixth Form. She is now Assistant Headteacher and curriculum manager with responsibility for co-ordinating the development of the curriculum, assessment, reporting and recording. Julie currently teaches art to all pupils in the school. Julie is committed to continuing professional development and studied for a B.Phil degree with Westmister College. Outside school Julie enjoys reading, art, painting, keeping fit and spending time with her family.

Peter Thomas

Peter Thomas

Community Governor (to 31.08.2014). Committees: Finance, Pay and Personnel, Health and Safety Performance Management. Linked with Thames class. A retired Divisional Manager from a major clearing bank with whom he had worked for 44 years. Originally co-opted due to his financial background with responsibility to monitor the School Budget. Married to Monica they have lived in Amersham since the late 1960s and have a daughter, Susan and son David. Continues to enjoy school outings whenever possible. Keen on gardening and is a long-suffering supporter of Norwich City Football Club.
Sally Slater
Sally Slater
I have been working at Heritage House School for over 15 years, working in most departments across the school. At present I am teaching our oldest pupils with autism and learning difficulties where I teach independence through the use of the Asdan accreditation system and our "Skills for Life" curriculum. I also co-ordinate post 19 placements for our young adults and the introduction to the world of work experience. At present I am working towards a foundation degree in classroom support to lead on to a teaching degree. I am a mother of 2 challenging teenagers and look after two more through social services Take-a Break scheme. In my limited spare time I enjoy my husbands company, walking, exploring new places and drinking Newcastle Brown Ale!

Gail Prince

Gail is currently Acting Head Teacher. She joined the school in 1995 and has taught across the school. She set up the Autism department in 1998 and she has given presentations on autism locally, nationally, and most recently internationally at the Italian summit on autism. She is married with one son, and in her spare time enjoys swimming, pilates and eating out.


Jane Bramwell

Jane has lived in Chesham for 30 years and brought up four children here, one with special needs. She is a District and Town Councillor and Mayor of Chesham 2010-11. Jane works in Chesham as a solicitor specialising in family and employment law.


Angus J Cameron

Angus became a Parent Governor in December 2011. He is a Chartered Management Accountant and works as an Associate Partner in a global technology consulting services firm in London. He has previously been a Governor of Chiltern Gate School and a trustee of Old Windsor Pre-School. He enjoys sailing and golf.

Claire Williams
Claire Williams

 

Claire has lived in Chesham for four years and works for Hertfordshire County Council as a Group Manager for Childrens Services. She is a qualified Social Worker and has worked with children and their families for 14 years. She has enjoyed lots of opportunities to volunteer and work with children with learning difficulties, and enjoys reading and walking her dog in her spare time.

Sarah O'Donnell

 

Sarah is originally from Wales and moved to Bucks a year ago from West Sussex and her son has attended Heritage House since that time. She has one son and is married to John. Previously she has worked as a Business Analyst, but is now a part-time student training to be a barrister. When she is not reading books with "law" in the title, she is enjoying getting to know her new area with the family. She says she is looking forward to supporting the school and getting to know other parents in her new role as Governor..
