The Lower School

The Lower School Department educates pupils between the ages of 2 - 11years with severe learning difficulties, complex needs and communication difficulties including pupils with autism.

We have Early Years classes (ages 2 - 7 years)  where learning takes place in a safe, fun and stimulating environment with an additional focus on sensory learning, and mobility.

We have 2 classes for pupils with autism, who follow the TEACCH approach.  This uses physical and visual structure to support the pupils to be as independent as possible.

All pupils have access to purpose built Art and Food Technology rooms, specialist teaching in music, art and information communication technology (ICT),specialist ICT resources, sensory rooms, a hydrotherapy pool, and a dedicated team of therapists.
