MOVE

MOVE stands for Mobility Opportunites via Education.  It is a programme that ensures that pupils make the best use of any movement that they possess, and it combines natural body movement with an instructional process designed to help children acquire increasing amounts of independence.  MOVE principles  operate throughout the school day.  The framework helps to coordinate services provided by therapists and others and is highly team based approach.  

MOVE's health and social benefits are supported by academic research, and it meets the needs of students with severe disabilities who have not developed or who are working to regain the physical skills necessary to sit independently, bear weight on their feet or take reciprocal steps.
