Cognition and Learning 

This is a department for pupils who have severe and/or profound and multiple learning difficulties as their primary need.

We have a number of staff who are qualified to work with students with visual impairment.  We have one teacher who is a Qualified Teacher for the Visually Impaired, and we have another who is currently completing her training.  We also have teaching assistants who are qualified in helping visually impaired students to maximise their experiences and learning in school.

We have large number of specialist resources to support children with cognition and learning needs in gaining full access to our curriculum.  Our school nurse offers support to parents and staff in managing health and medical needs.  Our range of therapies and resources ensure that a pupil's Statemented needs are fully met.
