Hello

I’m Sarah O’Donnell, the Family Advocate at Heritage House School.

My role in school is very varied, and I wear several “hats”, but my absolute priority is to support families. I am the parent of a grown-up son with additional needs, and I know first-hand that this can sometimes be a challenging and isolating experience.

Some of the ways in which I can support families include helping with form filling and letter writing, attending meetings with professionals (including the Social care Children with Disabilities Team), arranging workshops and coffee mornings, sign posting and making referrals to organisations and agencies that can support families of children and young people with additional needs and providing information for families on a range of subjects.
